Ahhh, its good to be back... Sorry I have been away.

This is Bomboloni or (Italian Doughnuts) You cannot see in the middle but its filled with a Powerful Citrus Creme, served with Starwberry Infused Honey Syrup and Double Cream.

...but I have to correct you :)
I am Italian and I can assure you that "zeppole" are not "italian doughnuts" :)
In Italy "doughnuts" are usually called "bomboloni" and so are the one in your picture :)
"zeppole" instead are puffs filled with cream and topped with black cherries...usually aren't fried, but baked. [link]
also they're typical of saint Joseph day (also known as Dad's Day) :)

Hahaha, no you didn't offend me in the slightest.

I seen this message a few days ago and started to research why the name difference and I have come to the conclusion that in Australia what you know as bomboloni is called zeppole here. I was surprised cause everyone calls them zeppole, regardless of that you are 100% correct, this image was mislabeled and has been corrected,as it has been in the restaurant, thank you for the heads up, I don't speak fluent Italian and it appears nether does the rest of Australia.

How frustrating for other Italians!
