If you made this dish then please do read up on what I have to speak for about this dish. If not then please disregard as to what I say.

Vision: The fish looks fantastic. As expected from Dulcet Epicure. The lime olive oil looks nice and it brings out the Kingfish. Your pesto is not like the rest. This specially looks superb and if I had the chance to taste it then I just hope to meet expectations :)

Originality: I've thought of it flavor wise. But I haven't tasted a Kingfish before. But I tried imagining how it would taste or how would the outcome of the pesto, parsnip mash, lime olive oil would come together with the fish. Something worth to try really.

Technique: Plating execution is very clean. My eyes can be deceiving sometimes when it comes to this IF the fish is still moist. But I hope it was still moist when consumed.

Impact: Doesn't really make me want to eat the dish but I want to understand the flavors. Since I'm very curious as what would a pacific kingfish would taste with all the flavors.

Every review I do is fairly distributed. On points may vary. I never review if bias or it would be unfair for the rest of the deviantART-ists

This was a professionally shot image, I wasn't sitting at the table about to eat a meal, this was captured in a studio environment.
From the purchase of the produce to the posting of this image I personally bought, prepped, cooked, styled and photographed what you see.
I assure you I share the same issues with Instagram as you seem too but I am not some fruity customer wanting to post it as a facebook update, this is one of my professions.

It's missing crappy filters to be instragram.
And apparently there is an art to food photography, as with others (e.g. commercial).

Oh thank you for those incredibly kind words, its exactly how I feel as an artist/chef/human. I have an affection for the processes that are involved with food, its why I became a chef and in-training to be a food stylist and photographer, the journey is so often ignored, when in actual fact its the most important part.

thats what i love about my photography. i style the models, do their makeup, counsel them on how to do their hair, choose the accessories, macguyver looks sometimes [scarves for tops/skirts/etc] and pick the background, and talk them through posing, and do the editing myself... i love crafting an entire mood and product from scratch...

EXACTLY!!!

I can tell from your images that a great deal of care goes into the preparation, which is exactly the way it should be, plus the personal touch can always be seen, that's what art (in any for should really be about)

Oh... and extra points for using the word "macguyver" in a reply, very awesome!

Oh Oh... and without sounding too random and creepy, you have amazingly photogenic skin, after your comment I had to check out your gallery and every shot of you comes out so consistent. I do alot of photography with Vogue Publications in Australia and I know top models that would kill for your complexion, I just wanted to share that with you, these things are important!!! :)

Oh wow! Yeah, I mean...I get acne, but overall, I've always had a great complexion. :) Plus many of those photos of me are from when I was a few years younger than I am now.. :)

Having good complexion isn't about acne (past or present), its about the pallet of the skin and yours is pretty kick-arse perfect, regardless of age, it's one of those natural traits that stay constant over time. :)
