SO... Bread is not my kindest friend in the kitchen, it's a pain in the behind to make correctly and to this day it's one of those items that regardless if I follow the recipe to the letter it always comes out different, that's right, BREAD IS THE DEVIL!!!! On this occasion which was actually back in 2012 it was not the devil, in fact I baked what i consider to be my greatest creation, these breads were a variety of Sourdoughs, Wood Fired Rolls and the beautiful thing in the middle being a 21 grain loaf of half rye, half wholemeal with blanched baby wheat and sesame seeds covering the outside.

It was glorious, the only issue is I have been unable to recreate it, I have a feeling it's due to the amazing oven I used on this day though still, I miss my bread!

THIS IS DULCET EPICURE

All dishes you see on *DulcetEpicure are conceived, cooked, styled and photographed by myself. I believe if you are going to photograph food you should first have an intimate knowledge of each image, I'm all about the journey!

My eternal gratitude for your support...

If you made this dish then please do read up on what I have to speak for about this dish. If not then please disregard as to what I say.

Vision: You never cease to amaze me. Again a great photo, but this time it's breads. And I just love breads. And to this photo you've highlighted the sesame seeds nicely and the perfect brown-ness of the bread. Breads is always a pain in the ass but once you've done it right then it's gonna be worth it.

Originality: I've seen a few shots of this before. Not so original really.

Technique: Nice crust on the breads. The one with sesame seeds looks like Rye bread. But in general there is nothing much to say but really great looking piece of art. Even the simplest of foods. If taken by a professional photographer can make it appetizing.

Impact: It's not really clicking for me about bread. Maybe because it's all lean and there's no laminated breads or rich breads to give a balance between the breads. But this hit me greatly to make me decide if I can hang this on my restaurant wall. Really great works of art by Dulcet Epicure.

Every review I do is fairly distributed. On points may vary. I never review if bias or it would be unfair for the rest of the deviantART-ists

Ahh...this was what I thought of when one of the store managers came to talk about the new grocery store opening in town. Did you know, if their bread doesn't sell within 4 hours that it's put out, they take it off the shelves and donate it to a food bank?! That's amazing! I can't wait to work there!

This is a lovely photo, would make a great bakery wall image as it's definitely effective in making you want some lovely fresh bread. ;)

Thank you so much, yeah, that was the grand plan to sell images to shops one day, just building up a good body of images first to dazzle the people with later!

This photo reminds me of back at college. We were being trained by a man named Andre Stozzel. We spent a whole afternoon doing nothing but making and baking bread.

And then we got to eat it all. I never truly tasted freshly made bread until that moment and the taste was just out of this world.

Great memories. Awesome photo

I completely agree, there is nothing like fresh bread still steaming from the oven, all that flour and yeast hidden in a crusty shell...
Hmmm... "Goes off to bake bread" ;)
