I only eat seafood so it's really my only choice. :) I like fresh vegetables and incorporating fruit into my dishes. I'm American, but my cooking style is definitely asian inspired. Any vegetable soup dishes with plenty of spice and occasionally I'll work with tofu. But I often make just a simple soup with cabbage, carrots, red onion, dried mushrooms and noodle. Adding either bok choy, kale, or chard is also excellent, and my broth is a simple mix of four spices so the sodium levels are dramatically lower than store bought noddle packs. I'm addicted to spice also, the hotter the better! My mouth waters thinking about Garlic Chili Paste and chili oil! And of course rice is a necessity to me - I keep it simple with just plain white jasmine rice tossed with sauteed pineapple! I'm not a chef but cooking is so much fun and I like experimenting with strange ingredients. But I stay away from meat unless I'm cooking for my meat-eating family members.

I feel like I need to wash all meats thoroughly and I don't like when people over cook them. I've never eaten a steak, but everyone seems to think that I make them quite well. I've taken tips from cooking shows; the whole searing at high temperatures then finishing in the oven, minimal seasoning. I make all my own sauces and dressings also - which I think is beneficial; too many fake items in the grocery!

Anyways, I love your pictures and your approach to photographing your dishes, they look most excellent! It's good to see a photographer that isn't flooding DA with distasteful nudes and vulgar material. Looking forward to more of your pictures... and perhaps instructional tutorials?
